For the first session only, if you tell the instructor in the first half hour of the session that you are unsatisfied with the session, then you are entitled to a refund. No refunds will be offered any time after the first half hour of the first session.
The first advantage is a financial one. The per person price for a group session is less than the charge for an individual session. This per person charge for a group session decreases as the number of students in the group increases. Our pricing page has the details.
The second advantage is that learning in a group setting allows for interaction among the students. These students get to hear questions from a different perspective and can see alternate ways of approaching problems. They also have others to share ideas with outside of the session time.
Each of our sessions is conducted by a live subject matter expert who covers the topics that the student has requested. These sessions are not repetition focused and do not have a structured curriculum – as does Kumon. And in contrast to Mathnasium, our individual tutoring sessions are focused entirely on the needs of one particular student.
That student always has the same tutor for all of their sessions and is able to use the session for homework help, project and assignment help or whatever they determine is necessary for them. There is ample time for student questions, and ample time for the student to practice what they have learned. This allows the student to increase their confidence and skill level which leads to subject mastery.
